Mind of the Student is a new charity launching to help schools and students on mental health education.
The Government states that:
Taking a coordinated and evidence-informed approach to mental health and wellbeing in schools and colleges leads to improved pupil and student emotional health and wellbeing. This can help with their learning.
Mind of the Student launch event takes place on Thursday 10th November in London.
Post-COVID schools have seen a rapid rise in student mental health and Mind of the Student workshops aim to tackle this.
They cover topics such as depression, anxiety, exam stress and managing social media pressures.
Unlike other school based workshops, Mind of the Student facilitates entire school communities, ensuring that all students have the chance to gain some knowledge and tips around mental health.
Teachers and schools attending the event will be entitled to a 25% discount when booking a workshop.
The workshops have been created with their clinical lead Dr Chuks, alongside other health care professionals, students and teachers.
The event will take place at Sir Graham Smith Conference Centre, 2 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DF from 18:00-20:00.
